About Me

Hi! My name is Ana María (she/her) and I am very happy you found your way here. I started meditating in 2003 and throughout the years, I’ve tried different types of meditation. Each technique I tried brought many gifts, wisdom, and glimpses of a deeper truth.

However, I felt these techniques were all too active and I was always in need of an external guidance, be it music, a voice, brainwaves, or even breathing. It was in 2017 that Vedic meditation came into my life with its immense silence and ease, forever changing the way in which I experience the practice of meditation and also how I perceive the world and relate to it. Ever since I got my personal mantra, I knew I wanted to share this beautiful technique with the world, I understood I wanted to become a meditation teacher.

In early 2020 my dream to become a meditation teacher came true when I enrolled in the Chopra Center’s teacher training in their signature Primordial Sound Meditation (also known as Chopra Meditation). After intensive studies I became an instructor in this beautiful technique, and I am now certified to spread these teachings and knowledge far and wide.  My studies into meditation continue with teachings from different masters and traditions, I also keep up to date with the latest scientific research around meditation, and of course, my personal meditation practice.

In early 2022 I became an advanced certified facilitator in the Amrit Method of Yoga Nidra – I AM Yoga Nidra, a beautiful practice based on the same ancient teachings I’ve come to love and respect. I am very honored to offer and facilitate sessions for deep moments of rest, release, and relaxation through transformation.

My Approach

I believe deeply in the transformational power of meditation, and I know that by getting in touch with our essence, we will be able to tackle injustice and inequity with love and eventually, transform our society. My commitment to social justice has been at the core of everything I do, and it guides my meditation teaching practice as well. You can read my code of ethics here.

The price you pay for the online courses and classes will contribute so I can offer them to people who cannot afford it.

Conversations need listening to be enriching. Primordial Sound Meditation and Yoga Nidra offer us a moment to listen deeply to silence, and it is by doing so that we get to know who we really are. In turn, we become better at listening to and communicating with others, deeply immersed in presence and consciousness.

I am very happy and honored to have you here, I love being a guide into silence, and to serve humanity by teaching meditation.
